There are basic truths that exist within the energy of life that surrounds us at all times. These truths are repeated across scriptures from many faiths, and are undeniable. I have to laugh when I think back over my past, especially when I begin to doubt my purpose in this life. When I was in college, I went to a community college before heading to university. I grew up in poverty in rural eastern Montana. I was paying for my education myself and I didn't have the finances to afford a school that was that expensive all four years.
My cousin was going to Montana State in Bozeman, and made a comment to me once about how I was "sacrificing my education" on this lower level school, and that I should had just gone to Bozeman. I responded with something along the lines of "you get what you put into it" and she of course mocked me. I graduated with a 3.8, and graduated from university years later with high honors, and spent only $12,000 on my entire education. Yes. Twelve thousand and some change is all I spent, and I graduated from a division 1 university.
But this conversation sits with me still today, and I realized how powerful of a statement I had made. As I began my spiritual awakening and began meditating extensively for years, I definitely had a feeling of "you've always been this way" as I began to discover the concept of "reaping what you sow".
Whatever we do in this life, it will come back around to us. Either through past life and karmic attachments or current life hardships and successes. But in modern times, we have become a collective that arguably, doesn't want to take ownership for their actions. We don't particularly enjoy seeing ourselves as we really are, because sometimes that isn't very attractive!
Scripture tells us that we will reap what we sow, and if we follow the sacred path before us we will produce a good fruit of our labor and we will harvest our abundance, success, happiness, and stability. In order to maintain balance within the energy that surrounds us, we also have a shadow aspect of this concept- if you plant toxic energy, it's going to come back to you! And let me tell you, it does.
You become the frequency that you put out into the world, and when we become aware of this we can begin to raise our frequency, raise our vibrations, and find the Creator in ways that are unimaginable to those who have never found him.
But what we seem to forget as we follow our pursuit of happiness by chasing money, lovers, statuses, or material possessions, we aren't following a sacred path. We aren't healing, and we aren't living a life of centeredness.
We reap what we sow, and if you aren't planting habits and lifestyles that align with this path you are going to struggle with obtaining life long happiness. No amount of reiki, ceremony, meditation, therapy, drugs, or alcohol is going to change this for you, you did this to yourself. You and only you is responsible for your frequency, and only YOU can change it.
