The Ego that Consumes Us

What happens when our ego consumes us and we become too focused on ourselves and what benefits us?

Have you been aware of how overactive your ego has been over the last few months? Have you been giving yourself a break, or acknowledging that your ego is a cause of many of your problems?

Our ego affects every aspect of our life, but more importantly- it influences our emotions.

As humans, we are often times tempted by our emotions, especially if we feel hurt. We want to use our emotions as weapons against those who “did us wrong”, but often times when we are reacting based on an emotion, we aren’t seeing the entire picture.

We are limited by what we see with the fog around us. This fog is our emotions, and when we are full of ego, we are unable to see through the fog. Because when we are full of ego, we aren’t shining at our brightest. We are limited by scarcity, by our ego. This creates the inability to see that abundance is around us at all times.

Look around you. What do you see. Do you see what you don’t have, or do you see the abundance that surrounds you.

Often times we don’t see the abundance, because we are stuck in the fog of our ego. This prevents us from seeing opportunities that are presented to us, and prevents us from achieving our goals.

How do we combat the ego, we combat ourselves and understand our shadows. Once we understand ourselves, we can see through the fog and see our situations clearly.
