Spiritual Lifestyle vs Spiritual Ritual

This might come as a shock to most people. But I don’t set aside specific dates to do specific rituals like I used to in my past. When I first came into my souls purpose, I was like a child trying to find my tribe. I jumped from new age group to new age group, never really feeling like anything was right or true. I knew I believed in one thing, The Creator who created everything. I knew that each and everything in Creation was an extension of my Creator. The Creator Created everything, and I could honor The Creator by honoring all of these things.

I learned that therefor by setting the intention of matching frequency with his Creation, I could achieve my goals and manifest my desires by best utilizing this energy.

But as I began to explore all of this, I began to be forced fed this practice of only performing rituals on specific dates, numerology patterns, or astrological signs. This always seemed very forced to me, very opposite of everything else I was achieving in my life. I meditated on this feeling, and I chose to stop viewing these moments as “special dates” and instead began to take a different perspective. I began to appreciate the energy that surrounds us on the everyday, and to trust in that the Holy Spirit, not astrology, would guide me to my highest potential. But to appreciate all of Creation, every day, is a much bigger commitment than a ritual weekly or in sync with a Gregorian based calendar or astrological event.

I began to match frequency with all Creation, every single day. I began to meditate every day, an hour in the morning and an hour at night. It of course did not start at an hour each time, in fact it started with five minute long intervals and grew up to an hour at a time. I began to stop resisting the energy The Creator was gifting to me each day in life, and decided to instead become tuned into them.

And yet while everything, literally every single thing in this life was blossoming and blooming around me- finances, romance, happiness, FLOW, everything- people who were only practicing rituals on key days weren’t seeing the same experiences. They might be having similar, but nothing that compared. I could never go back to just doing rituals with key moon cycles or calendar dates. I have always preferred to be very quiet about my actual spiritual practice, as I felt it was between me and The Creator, not me and my “followers” or “friends”.

I began to realize that my frequency was raising at levels I couldn’t explain. I was flat leaving friends and family behind, and for the first time in my entire life, I was finding friends who saw me, the real me, and I was happy. For the first time in 28 years, I was happy. All of those friends I left are exactly where I left them.

All Is One

You can continue to do meditations only on specific calendar dates and astrological events, but I can promise you that when you set the intention daily to attune yourself to the frequency the Creator has laid out for you today, instead of trying to transmute the Creators energy to match your own egotistical desires, you will begin to not only connect with your higher self and ignite a level of healing and evolution you’ve never experienced before; you will begin to align with your souls purpose, leading you to deeper more fulfilling interactions and happiness.  Basically, you allow the Holy Spirit to literally guide you through your spiritual practice (ie meditation, self care routines such as running, hiking, outside activities, painting, reading, quiet time or any other routine that you find spiritual). Instead of telling spirit and demanding your manifestations, you allow what is meant to come to you to come to you, and what is meant to fall away to fall away.

By only honoring specific days or moments, you aren’t showing gratitude for all Creation. You are missing out on the majority of lessons and upgrades that are awaiting you each and every day. It’s work, if it was easy everyone would do it!  But having a daily spiritual practice prepares you to release resistance and allows your energy to flow with that of the Creator.  When you honor only specific dates or events, you are coming from a mindset of scarcity (There is never enough), but when you honor every day you come from a place of limitless abundance (there is more than enough, I am grateful each and every day). Gratitude raises our vibrations.

When you practice each and every day, your stress and anxiety no longer impact you. You break the cycle of “fight or flight” in your work patterns. You slow your mind (even if just for a few moments) and you begin to gain clarity. And the more you do this, especially the more days back to back you do this, the clearer your mind remains, and the more alignment you find from within.

This energy, this alignment, is where healing begins and we begin to make progress on our journeys.
