Health & Wellness

What is health? What is a healthy person?

What deems a person healthy while another not? Health is much deeper than our physical bodies. Health is our mind, how we are viewing the world and how we are perceiving the world and health is our soul! Health is feeling all of our emotions, the entire wide range of them- from extreme happiness, to anger and discomfort.

Health isn’t skin deep. It’s not just our muscles, our bones and our organs. It’s our minds, our souls, our emotions, AND our bodies. All four, working in balance with each other. (through the medicine wheel)

It’s during times like these where we seem to forget that more than ever. When we are mentally shut off from the world, left to wallow in our own thoughts, insecurities and troubles without the support and love from our coworkers, family and friends.

Right now we are seeing what it’s like to not have a helping hand available to help lift us out of these dark thoughts, and unfortunately this is having a toll on our souls. A toll on our minds.

Now is the time to find some clarity. Face your fears and embrace how delicate life is. When we can see our fears clearly, we can address them and create goals to work through them- and we can also get the help we need from professionals.

We aren’t in this alone. No matter how far apart we are, we are all connected. We are all one, and how we talk and act towards others comes back to us. Stand up for those who are struggling. Reach out and offer assistance, even if that is just a simple phone call, text or a video chat.

We are all in this together. From those of us who are anxiously waiting for the oil industry and ALL jobs to recoup, to those of us who are scared for our loved ones who do have compromised immune systems.

Especially those who are struggling with depression. A death by suicide at this time, is a death at the hands of COVID19- even without contracting the virus.

Let’s heal our mind, body and spirit; one day at a time.

Help is here, we are here.
