It's important that we give more than we take (which I talked about on the blog earlier, link is in my Facebook group Soul of the Badlands Collective or on my website) but how do we know when we are giving too much, and setting ourselves up for pain and to be taken advantage of?

Understanding that boundaries are necessary and everything we do in this world needs to be done with balance and grace, we can help establish healthy boundaries.

If you give more than is healthy, you will not be able to give for very long.

Why are you giving? Are you giving because it's the right thing to do, or are you giving because you have something to gain, something you can use to better yourself or your image?

Or are you taking and never giving??

If you're struggling with this, start by giving to yourself. Start by offering yourself the love, care and time you deserve. Start by filling your cup up yourself, then focus on filling up others and taking only what you need.
