Medicine Wheel

Gathering a deeper understanding of the medicine wheel as I was taught during my shamanic initiations.
As we grow through life, we go through the phases of the medicine wheel. We begin in the East, with our physical bodies. We are impacted by the material and physical world, which can be from trauma, diet, exercise, and our physical bodies. We then transition into the mental impacts we receive from the physical aspects. Our perspectives, mindsets, mindfulness, and mental health.

We transition from this into our emotional body, which controls our emotional responses, happiness in life and allows us to find temperance with our emotional body, or fall into hate, anger, self pity, or envy (etc).

From here we transition into the spiritual aspects. Our connection to the Creator, our soul, and wisdom.

Not one body is more important than the other, they all must exist in order for us to feel in balance in our lives. We can not exist without finding peace in all four bodies.

This graphic lists what tools to use to help us work through the stages of the medicine wheel. Get to know these spirits and the medicine they bring to us, and you will find the peace you are searching for.
