Humanity is journeying through the valley. This valley is a journey. We have the choice to journey through the valley, to have faith in the Creator, to have faith in our abilities to keep going, to keep pushing, growing, healing, and moving forward. The decision to keep moving forward, or to fall into the holes that riddle the ground of this valley is ours. If we take the hate bait presented to us from the news, if we focus on us being right, and them being wrong, we fall into the hole. We consume the news, and in turn it consumes us. We lose our energy, we lose our faith, we lose our strength. We become weak, exhausted, nervous, and we will fall into this hole. We become stuck in the valley, unable to settle down, unable to move forward or turn back. We become stuck, we fall into the hole, and we can’t climb out, until we begin to rethink our problems. When we become aware of our cognitive dissonance, when we become aware of the opportunity this valley brings to us to look upon ourselves, we begin to climb out of this hole. The opportunity to reflect, rethink life and death, begin focusing on helping others around you, working together to reach the end goal of emerging from this valley- this portal into a new reality, we begin to find wellness and transition through our medicine wheel. We are all connected, every person, every plant, every rock, every animal. We are all connected, and by taking care of ourselves on this level, we are healing the world. When we heal ourselves, we become better people and this radiates from us. You are given the voice to speak up about what you see wrong, you are filled with peace, not hate or violence. We begin to care for our elders, our neighbors, our homes, and our faith. We begin to heal our spiritual body. We find our souls again and begin to understand what this world has done to us. Our possessions have possessed us. When we take care of our spiritual body, we take care of our souls, our physical body, our emotions, and our mental health. Do not lose your spiritual dimension in this crisis. The Creator walks beside us in this valley, he is guiding us, comforting us, and protecting us from the darkness that surrounds us each night in the valley. The creator has given us the light to shine bright in this darkness. Use it. Do not lose the meaning of life, do not forget to carry unconditional love and forgiveness for those we oppose. Do not carry hate in your heart, anger in your soul, or violence in your bones. You cannot help anyone when you are filled with these things. But you can help everyone when you are filled with unconditional love, forgiveness, and peace. Know the power that is peace- Black Elk. Gather up your old pack string, and embark on this journey into a stronger faith, a stronger soul, and a connection that will change your life.
